Center for Global Engagement

Center for Global Engagement

Dr. David Salisbury hosted colleagues from the Amazon rainforest for the multi-country workshop on “Braided Knowledges for a Sustainable Future: Indigenous Communities, Rivers, and Justice” in 2023. The next large-scale gathering for International Education Week at Richmond in 2027 will focus on Global Healing, drawing together colleagues from previous IE Week collaborations.

Your Journey Starts Here

At Richmond our global engagement is inclusive and intentional: in the classroom, the dining hall, through art and performances, and of course around the world. Our faculty weave global challenges into their work, our international students and scholars share their lived experiences to enrich mutual understanding, and more than 70 percent of recent graduates have significant international experience.

Our center is the partner for a broad range of opportunities within global engagement. We’re excited to play a part in helping all Spiders realize themselves as global citizens at a time of great need for communication across difference.
