Weinstein Grants for Staff and Faculty

For Staff and Faculty 

Weinstein Grant funding for travel for staff and faculty is limited and will be used primarily to support staff in joining a seminar group as part of a familiarization trip to strategic partner locations for UR organized by the Center for Global Engagement (CGE). Full-time, continuing staff and teaching faculty are eligible after their third year of continuous employment at UR. The CGE may seek nominations for staff through supervisors and participation will rotate among different units. 

On a limited basis, CGE will consider requests from individual staff who meet the eligibility requirements listed above and who have a particular need for travel that directly connects to their campus work. The award has a maximum of $3,500 to be used to support travel costs, primarily airfare support. 

Individual faculty support for projects that exceed their university funding will have a maximum award of $1,200. 

A faculty/staff committee will review submissions. All applicants will be notified in writing regarding the final status of their application.
