Global Spiders Photo Contest
Accepting Entries: February 24th - March 13th, 2026
University of Richmond returned study abroad students, international students, exchange students, alumni, faculty, and staff are all invited to participate:
- Domestic students may submit three photos captured during their study abroad program.
- International students may submit three photos captured during their studies in the US.
- Alumni, faculty, and staff may enter three photos captured during recent business or leisure travel abroad.
Helpful Hints
The best entries will capture the entrant's:
- experience abroad,
- engagement with the host culture, and/or
- original approach to the subject matter.
Multiple winning entries will be chosen and awarded prizes!

The Fine Print
- The deadline for submitting photos is on or before March 13th. Winners will be announced in early April.
- Carefully read the complete contest rules before submitting your entries.
- Submissions will be evaluated by a team of University adjudicators; winning entries may be displayed in the Carole Weinstein International Center, included in future University publications, and/or showcased on the Global Engagement website.
- All submissions (winning and non-winning entries) may be used in marketing activities for the purpose of promoting study abroad and the University of Richmond.
