Be ready when global opportunity knocks.
Thursday, Sept 10, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, INTC Commons
State Department staff will be here to process applications for new US passports and renewals.
UR will cover application fees for standard book-type passport (not passport card) for regular UR undergrads.
Others (faculty, staff, family, Law, MBAs, Osher members, SPCS) may submit applications, but will be responsible for fees.

- How?

What is needed?
- Photo ID (i.e., driver’s license), plus one copy, front and back
- Completed form (either DS-11 or possibly DS-82), completed but not signed
- US Citizenship Evidence, plus one copy, front and back
- Ex. Official birth certificate – must request in advance
- One hard-copy passport-format photo - available on campus from One Card (appointments available Sept 8 & 9, 2026) or from AAA, CVS, Walgreen’s, etc.
- Previous US passport (if you have one)

Bring hard copy to passport fair. You can...
- Complete & print (single-sided) using the online form filler, or
- Pick up a blank hard copy at a Post Office or Passport Acceptance facility, or at the Center for Global Engagement and complete by hand
If completing by hand:
- Use black ink.
- Be neat. It won’t be accepted if your writing is not very clear.
- If you make a mistake, start over. It won’t be accepted with cross-outs, white-out, etc.
