Peer Advisor
The Peer Advisor is a University of Richmond student who has been trained to assist you in exploring your options for studying abroad and can speak to you in a peer-to-peer environment. This advisor can help you with questions such as:
- How do I choose a program?
- What kinds of things should I consider as I prepare to study abroad?
- How will my credit transfer?
- How much will it cost?
- How do I apply?
- What is it really like to spend a semester or year abroad?
- How can I talk to other students who have studied abroad?
Meet Claire
Meet your 2026-27 Peer Advisor, Claire Morris! She is a senior at UR from Richmond, Virginia. In Spring of 2026, Claire studied abroad in Amman, Jordan and Rabat, Morocco for the semester with Amideast. Following her spring program, she studied abroad again in Seoul, South Korea with a UR summer program for peace politics and again for summer law classes with the Jepson School at Cambridge in the UK. In addition to University of Richmond programs, she also spent a year in Rabat, Morocco studying Arabic with NSLI-Y and another summer in Malang, Indonesia studying Indonesian with CLS. In all of her programs, she has focused on advancing her language skills and taking classes for her Political Science and Arabic Studies majors.
Now as a Study Abroad Peer Advisor, Claire is excited to help other students find programs that best fit not just their academic and professional interests but also provide new and exciting opportunities to grow and experience all that the world of study abroad has to offer. She looks forward to working with students and helping them start their own study abroad journeys.
